This is really just an attempt of
"Getting My Name Out There"
This project is inspired by my observations of contemporary human behavior; in which both advanced and very simple forms of advertising plays a major role. The idea of holding a sign with my name came from watching political rallies and sporting events where the audience would hold up similar name signs in support – and from passing street corners with people advertising anything from a car wash to a store close out sales – and finally not to forget: from the airports and train stations, where I always see people waiting, probably for someone they don’t even know – hence the sign.
Although, I started out doing these performances on my own, (images of these can be seen on the Art Walks Chicago site), I have now extended the invitation to include you as well. Proceed to read below, if you are interested.
If you would like to help me: "Getting My Name Out There", this is what you need to do:
1. Make an 'Anni Holm' sign.
2. Bring the sign to a public area.
3. Snap a photo of you and the sign.
4. Email the picture including your name and location to:
anniholm@hotmail.com
